Ivanhoe Festival: Street Photography.

Today I went to the Ivanhoe Festival and it was a gorgeous day!

The wonderful thing about public event photography is the ability to capture candid photos of people. Most of the time people were completely unaware I was taking their photo. Here’s some random images from the day. I took so many!

While it is perfectly legal to take photographs of people in public places and at public events I am always aware that the subjects are someone’s mother, child, grandmother, grandfather.

I just watched and this happened…love it!

Now these boys did not see me until I had already taken a few of them already as soon as Mr Blue Shirt (sorry don’t know your name!) realised he grabbed the other Floyd – naturally I kept snapping. I like this one.

No I don’t think this little man was looking at me- I seriously am not that interesting.

This was a great stand by the Paint Pot People.

I just loved this on top of the carousel ride.

But not for long- this from a stall from a new business that will be opening soon in Ivanhoe.

I just love the name of this shop “nothing”…and I loved this banner.
